Ant Man

You know.. Marvel movies are either really fun and childish, or they are really in depth and complicated. Ant Man is definitely the first one and I love it. So Scott is an ex-con who went to jail because he broke into I think his old bosses house who was like taking advantage of people, stole his money and gave it back to the people he was taking it from. He gets out of jail and tries to find a job, but it's hard because he's an ex-con. He doesn't want to go back to a life of crime with his friends because he wants to be there for his daughter, but it's hard when he can't find a job to pay the child support that he owes. So he goes back to do a job with his friends... which is to open a safe in this like mansion. They break in and find out that there is nothing in the safe except for this weird suit. He takes the suit and tries it on, and after he finds out what it does he doesn't want it anymore and tries to take it back, but then the cops show up and he goes back to jail. So the creator of the suit Hank brings it back to him and tells him he needs him to do a job. Scott's ex wife's new husband is actually a cop who keeps searching for him after he escapes. 

Hank is the creator of the suit and he has a daughter Hope and a protege Cross. Cross is resentful towards Hank because Hank started to cut him off and not tell him everything, so Cross wanted to figure out what Hank was hiding. Turns out that it was about this suit, and Cross discovers a way to create his own. Hank needs Scott to break into the company and steal the suit and destroy the research that Cross has created because he will use it to do bad things and sell it to Hydra. So Scott is trained by Hope and Hank to learn how to use the suit and how to control all the ants to work for him. Scott uses his buddies to help him complete the mission. And that's basically the whole story. Scott fights Cross in his suit and defeats him by going subatomic, which is how Hank lost his wife, but somehow Scott makes it back and leaves Hank hopeful for his wife again. The new husband drops all of Scott's charges and he is able to see his daughter again. 

My favorite part of the movie is definitely Scott's friend who talks a lot and doesn't know how to tell a story. He's super funny. The whole movie is just super fun to watch. I think it may be my second favorite after Guardians. It's just a very straightforward story and I love Paul Rudd.
